Despite disappearing off the blogging-sphere for a few years, one thing still hasn't changed about me - I still love simple, quick and easy routines for things like makeup, skincare and haircare. This year, I started to look for some quick and easy-to-use products that would work with my sensitive skin, and save me those valuable sleeping minutes in the morning. This year, I started using a toner - in particular, the Ren Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Tonic, and I'm happy to say I can see the difference in my skin already. Due to its non-abrasive consistency, this toner can be used daily to resurface your skin and give you a bright glow. With willow bark to encourage cell renewal, lactic acid to gently exfoliate, and azelaic acid for a brightening boost, this toner takes only a few seconds to swipe on! Once again, this year I've found some really nice serums that are quick and easy to apply - they do all the work while you sleep (sounds like my kind of product, to be honest). To cut out applying multiple different serums for different reasons, I find The Ordinary Buffet Serum works amazingly! This cruelty-free, silicone-free, and vegan serum contains multiple peptides with the purpose of smoothing fine lines (for me, its my forever-wrinkly smile lines) and boosting hydration for an always-glowy and healthy appearance. Sometimes, I find that some extra attention is needed to some particularly dry areas of skin - maybe a dry, red nose during those cold winter months or some hot skin after a bad sunburn. It's in these times I love using a drop of Rosehip Oil, especially this one from Sukin, on those dry areas. Just a drop goes such a long way, and that dry nose from the winter sniffles can be healed overnight. Working Rosehip Oil into your skincare routine can also prove useful if you're looking to smooth wrinkles, brighten skin, and fade scars. Luckily, I didn't have to search too far for a moisturiser - I've used the Mario Badescu Honey Moisturiser for over 6 months now, and I love it. It's lightweight enough that it doesn't feel too heavy, and it's thin enough to wear underneath makeup without causing any strange areas. I have quite dry skin and I find it works perfectly, but the formula would work perfectly for all skin types. No matter how good your skincare routine is, at the end of the day, everybody gets pimples! At the end of my night-time skincare, I use the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion on the areas I need, and in the morning my skin looks visibly better. After a few days of use, the salicylic acid, sulfur, and zinc oxide formula has cleared my pimples up completely! I hope this can help any other lazy-skincare enthusiasts out there! If you have any quick and easy products you love, feel free to share!
